The Covey Feast

Enjoying a perfect Summer day
Rick and Jane Nahass, George and Rhonda Kreitem
Our annual wine club Covey Feast was a huge success, and thank you to all of our friends that came out to celebrate life with us.  With a full glass in hand, lounging on the lawn in our magical corner of the tranquil Edna Valley was truly the best way to spend a Summer day!  The weather was absolutely perfect, the new releases were delicious and Louie Ortega and his band rocked the house.  This event is by far our most cherished of the year.  Your favorite wines and our favorite people, we couldn't ask for anything more.  We are already planning for next year, can't wait!

The recent "What is your favorite variety?" poll did not have very surprising results.  A whopping 76% of you preferred Pinot Noir, with Syrah coming in at a distant second garnering 17%.  The poll may have been a little skewed since we have a devoted Pinot following and that certainly showed at The Covey Feast.  Inventory proved that we have a lot of Pinot fans out there.  It was poured 2 to 1 over everything else and our Stone Corral was poured 3 to 1 out of all of our other Pinots.  Big surprise...
